Indiana Jones Adventures TP Vol 1 – Riding on the wave of the latest Indiana Jones movie, Dark Horse has a new kid-friendly series of comic adventures for everyone’s favorite archaeologist.  This volume starts out with Dr. Jones fighting a blizzard to get to an archaeological dig in Northern Europe, and the roller coaster ride takes off from there!  The art is reminiscent of the Star Wars: Clone Wars series also from Dark Horse.  It’s short, at only 60pgs, but is a full story.  This is a title Indy fans young and old will enjoy.

Gimoles: Secrets of the Season TP – This series is created by Mike Bullock, who also created Lions, Tigers and Bears.  Mike has a real talent for creating kid friendly tales, and his art has a very animation-style look, reminding one of a Disney film. Gimoles are small, green elves who’s job is to bring about spring.  But to do so, winter must first end.  Ichabod Frost has other ideas, and has kidnapped Mr. Groundhog, who heralds the end of winter.  Two young Gimoles, Linny and Ohgi decide to try and free Mr. Groundhog.  This series started coming out as a comic from the now defunct Alias Studios.  This trade is the full story, and includes a bonus story that was part of the Hope anthology, a benefit book for Hurricane Katrine victims from Ronin Studios.
